Hey Daniel, I think the DCC makes no sense on my wife's Golf right now ... maybe a couple of years from now, who knows ... :wink:

In case you are interested in the DCC you can take a look at the Slavik thread. :arrow: https://www.drive2.ru/l/586574336207391702/

Golf 7.5 SAFELOCK function. Activation.

After checking (erWin) that all wires are present for the actuators for SAFELOCK function...

BCM rear doors.

... and compare (winmerge) with another Golf 7.5 with Anti-Theft Alarm system and SAFELOCK function from factory, the coding, and all adaptation channels of the central locking (ZV) and Anti-Theft Alarm...

I apply these codings to my wife's Golf:

BCM
SA 31347
ENG141652-ENG142000-ZV Türkonfiguration-Schlosstyp_NAR,Yes ,5 ... to No
ENG141651-ENG141996-ZV allgemein-ZV_ohne_Safe_Funktion,installed ,7 ... to not installed (already coded previously)

Door modules 42 & 52.
Byte2 Bit0 ... disable.

Permanent faults are generated in all the doors, both in modules 42 and 52 as well as in the BCM, I verify that the SAFELOCK function does not work, which means my wife's Golf does not have the locks with SAFELOCK function, and unless I find them at a friendly price :lol: I have no plans to install them.
Image

LHD locks with SAFELOCK: (also for Keylees)
Front Left: 5TB837015 --> 5TB837015B
Rear Left: 5TA839015D --> 5TA839015K
Front Right: 5TB837016 --> 5TB837016B
Rear Right: 5TA839016D --> 5TA839016K

It is true that not being able to open the car from the inside is an advantage if someone breaks the window for criminal reasons, but it is not something definitive...

My 6R has Anti-theft Alarm with the SAFELOCK function, of which I have not been forced to use one of its functions (- double click , owner's manual -), like in my wife's Golf, I also installed the central locking button on the passenger door.😊

Yep, but also for summer, considering that some insects are the size of dinosaurs. 😄
I recently checked with the 6R. :arrow: viewtopic.php?p=583170#p583170

I was just washing my KG today, and it is full of insects indeed. They are only cow sized so I guess I got away lucky.

Golf 7.5 Rear doors. LED warning/exit lights.

I finally found the 4 locks with actuators for the SAFELOCK function at a friendly price that I will install on my wife's Golf. To install the locks, the door panels must be removed.
As you know, I have already installed the LED warning/exit lights in front doors, so I will take advantage that I have to remove the door panels to install them also in the rear doors.
A long time ago I posted in the 6R section how to install these lights so that they work only and exclusively when the doors are opened (under BCM control/door swicthes 'F').
Well, for the Golf 7/7.5 and many other VW models that do not have control modules in the rear doors it is exactly the same as for the 6R.

Diagrams/schemes to install the warning/exit lights for the rear doors on the Golf 7.5 LHD (L0L).

Rear Right

For RHD, 5 is for RDD and 2 is for RPD.

So, my summer project has been increased in terms of improvements:
- Washer fluid level sensor.
- '5L' reservoir for washer fluid.
- Locks with SAFELOCK function.
- LED warning/exit lights for the rear doors.
- etc... 🤭

short note before continuing ...

my story has changed enormously since the work done by some great professionals at my VW dealer when they changed the windshield in my wife's Golf. They damaged multiple parts (worse than a revenge) and did not comply at all with the stipulations on the repair sheet (my instructions, the person who pays).

From now on, a whole Universe separates us (ex-VW dealer), to infinity and beyond, I will try not to use any of these people's businesses, ... car washes, workshops, spare parts, etc ... NEVER AGAIN !!!🤭

I prefer not to post the images of all the broken or damaged parts that they recognized to have harmed but that have not given me a solution ... and because I don't want to damage the image of the VW group and other great friends.
Damaged parts have been replaced/refurbished by me and my money, thus continuing with my happiness and that of my loved ones. 😊 💑

I guess those great professionals were like this:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/sqi_469AI ... autoplay=1
The usual where I live, on rare occasions someone did a normal or decent job when I required it (in all walks of life).
I guess I am too picky due to my skills, knowledges and experience, the money to pay was never a problem for me, ... maybe I should apologize because of it ... 🤔😶

Volkswagen should be very tough and demanding on the VW group dealerships, or take big losses in the more than poor repairs due to grossly negligent behavior.

Golf 7.5 Front control arms protection covers. Aerodynamic Package 🤭 - Part 2.

I bought the protection covers from the Golf 8 and the Arteon.
Image
- The Arteon ones do not fit in any way.❌
- Those of the Golf 8 have the ideal shape, but their fixation depends on the installed control arms.
Image

Image

For the Golf 7.5 there was an update in the references on the control arms.
Image
- If the control arms are 5Q0407151R / 5Q0407152R (... >> - until 10/06/2019) one of the fixing holes does not match.
- If the control arms are 5WA407151 / 5WA407152 (>> - from 11/06/2019 ...) everything should fit perfectly.✅

The last reference supersedes the previous one ...

My wife's Golf has the 5Q0407151R / 5Q0407152R control arms.
Image

Image

Installation attempt.😬

I marked with a permanent marker the place of the hole that does not match.
Image
(the small image within the above image belongs to Slavik's Golf 7.5, which has the same control arms as my wife's Golf)

Okay, now that everything is cleared up, as a test, I am going to try to install the protection covers with heavy duty zip ties,
in this way ...
Image
🤐
Only if I observe a strong fixation of the protection covers will I leave them installed, otherwise I will remove them and send them for recycling. :mrgreen:

Everything is still where it should after several test on speed bumps, high-speed test on the Highway,
... and the million and a half potholes in the street where I live --> the entrance to hell.

I verify that the fixing of the protection covers is completely correct.👌

I'd say that's a pretty good fit.

Will the updated aerodynamics weigh up to the increased weight? If only we had an aerospace engineer to help us out... 8)
