Polo Sport TDI 130 - GTB2260 + LSD etc..

Post by TomG »

For Sale: VW Polo Sport TDI 130 (GTB2260 etc..) – 274bhp / 375lbft

I have owned this car for 5 years and am the second owner from new. The car was completely stock before I took ownership at 62k in Jan 2011. It has gradually been upgraded to its current state with all work being carried out by Darkside Developments.

Engine:
Complete Darkside Developments GTB2260 turbo kit including tubular manifold.
Uprated injectors - 80% Firad Nozzles
Darkside - Performance/Race camshaft kit
Darkside -Thermostatic Oil Cooler
Darkside – EGR Delete
Darkside Seat Sport intercooler with enlarged core
Darkside Hard Pipework Kit for FMIC
ARP Head Studs

Drivetrain:
Darkside/Sachs – SMF with uprated clutch – rated to 440lbft +
Peloquin LSD
6 Speed – short ratio gearbox.

Exhaust:
Darkside 3” Decat downpipe
Polo GTI Milltek non-resonated exhaust system with added silencer
Exhaust tips cut off with diesel style downward tips added.

Handling:
Bilstein B12 suspension kit (H&R 35mm springs combined with Bilstein B8 dampers) – having trialled various coilover and suspension set ups, I believe this is the best all round daily set up.
Fully Polybushed
Whiteline Rear Anti Roll Bar
Front and Rear Forge Strut braces

Brakes:
323mm Brembo 4 pot calipers with OEM discs and pads
256mm Octavia VRS rear brake calipers with OEM discs and pads

Wheels/Tyres:
Audi TT Comps – 17”
Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres all round

Interior:
SPA – Water and Oil digital display
Cubby Hole
Rear Parking sensors - OEM
Original CD player with 6 disc cd changer under passenger seat

Points to Note:

See Dyno sheet for current power – 274bhp/375lbft
MOT – 25th November 2016
Mileage – 159k (will rise due to daily use)
Serviced every 8k with last cambelt and water pump change at 158k.
Never been on track.
Despite the mileage the car interior and exterior are in excellent condition.

A couple of the alloys have some kerb rash but largely look in very good condition.
The tyres have 5mm of tread on the rears and approximately 3.5mm on the fronts.
Lots of life in all brake discs and pads.

This is one of 254 Polo Sport TDI’s in the country and to my knowledge, the most complete.

Unfortunately I do not have invoices for the work carried out. I have kept my own log book of all services and upgrades. I feel the asking price reflects this. This car has cost me a small fortune to take it from stock to where it stands today. In my eyes, no additional work is required to complete this car.

This car has been my absolute pride and joy for the last 5 years. It has been in various states of tune right up to the above spec with ported head with upgraded valves and lifters at 294bhp. Unfortunately, the engine was unable to stay cool enough to provide reliability. It cracked 2 pistons and warped the ported head. It has since been rebuilt by Darkside at 157k to its current spec and it is proving to be the most suitable setup with the new additional oil cooler.

This is my daily driver, covering large mileages in one go and has always proved excellent at the job. Its very quick and still retains 40mpg + always.

I am not in a rush to sell but now require a larger car and am on the look out for an Octavia VRS TDI or similar.

Price: £4750 ono

Car is located in Newark at weekends and Warwick during the week.

Serious offers only please.
