Wheels for 6N!

Post by ragless »

I am looking for some 13" or 14" wheels for my 1997 polo and wanted to know what the sizes i would need? Would 13x7j fit on without any problems or are they too wide?

Thanks

I think my BBS RX2s are 15x6 and after lowering my car they scrub in the arch when on full lock big time.. So 7s would be worse

But you need to take the wheel diameter into account too, 15,s may be scrubbing on the top

Fair point! If your going for 45/50 low profiles I reckon you might get away with it

Stretch always helps too. I have a friend slammed on 14" steels which scrub it all depends on a lot of things

Id imagine they maybe ok. Cups are fairly wide though no way I could say for sure. Do love these wheels they're stunning and that's a good price

would wheel spacers make it better because it would be further away from the arch so wouldn't rub or is that not how it works? sorry about these silly questions but i dont know much about wheels

May help but I doubt you'd get away with too much poke for mot. Stretched tyres would help but it's all a grey area for MOT. I think 7 inch would fit ok. Just buy em and see mate you'd get your money back on them anyway If you had to sellthem on.

my god people are unhelpful on here :-/ yes they will fit fine, will probably be able to have a 60mm drop without any problems atall. Just for the record 8.5's are about the widest you can fit on polos, ive got 7.5's with a 90mm drop
