Hi All,
got a VW Polo CL 1998 6N1 [1994-1999] Hatchback 60 1.4.
Long story short...smell of petrol..traced to a leaking fuel sender seal.
It's been the victim of a bodge job that saw the fuel connectors epoxy resin-ed into place! they must have come loose before.
Have had to cut the fuel lines to release the fuel sender unit.
2nd fuel sender, seal and plastic screw top on the way, BUT cannot find the connectors (preferably with a little bit of pipe) so I can reconnect.
Saw this in the US but not sure of fit / pipe diameters: http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-27513-8 ... in=keyword
Any thoughts guys?
anybody breaking a suitable car?
Most breakers don't seem to keep the part.
First post...so be gentle! thanks all.

Re: Fuel Sender / fuel connectors
Jesus what a mess that is
A new fuel sender, some R9 fuel injection hose and some new pop on connectors should resolve that

thanks
PS apologies for the delay...couldn't post for some reason.

Re: Fuel Sender / fuel connectors
I would go to a scrappy, cleanly cut the connectors off with 6inches of hose
Get some fuel line brass inserts to prevent them crushing when you clamp then
Join the fuel lines with a small section of R9 injection hose and fuel hose clamps
