Need advise on my 6n open air....

Post by jamoo2123 »

I'm looking to put more power into my beloved 6n, but not to sure on how to do this? I've considered the 1.8 20v turbo conversion. Wasn't to sure off what engine to use and what goes best with the 6n I have.

Would be highly greatfull if someone could enlighten me on my best opitons?!?!

Easiest route is to put a 6N2 GTI lump in there. You can even swap the dash and everything across for the easiest transition. A few on here have done it

The 1.8T into the 6N or 6N2 is not an easy engine swap. It requires alot of custom fabrication to make it fit, plus custom driveshafts etc.

Okay nice one never seen this but I will Certainly have a look into this many thanks.

With the 6N2 GTI engine where could I find the parts to uprate the cams and so on?......

With this engine I take it there's not much to do do in the terms off making it fit?

There’s a few cam option available. Piper do some. Depends what kind of power you are wanting to achieve though.
