Hi Guys,
I have a 1996 Polo 1.4 L
My clock and mileage LCD ( on the dashboard ) faded out recently during a long days driving. It disappeared for a week or so but came back. However it's faded out again and obviously I need to fix it....

Many thanks

You’ll probably need a new set of clocks, or have yours repaired with a new LCD

Crikey, that'll cost a bit.
Will it have to be reprogrammed for the mileage?

You can get a used set. As yours is early it might be before the immobiliser was standard too which makes it even easier

The clocks can be reprogrammed to match on mileage or you just record it had a clock change so it matches up on MOT etc.

Where are you based?

Hi, I'm in Stafford, in the Midlands. I'm sure it's an early model. Is there a way to check ?

Shame you are so far as I could’ve done it for you!

Pop up a photo of the clocks you have now. I’ll help you find a set

Ok, part number should be 6N0 919 910 L

Theres a few on ebay - this one is a decent price

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Polo-6N1- ... Sw71xZmBrR

It should be a drop in replacement without the need for coding unless you want the mileage corrected
