Hi
My 4 year old battery needs replacing. My lovely 96 Polo is rarely used and, of course, requires regular charging to keep enough charge to start it!
I read AGM batteries hold their charge longer and are not so damaged by charging/depletion and, as well as stop/start vehicles, are also suitable for low mileage use.
Can I simply fit one to my Polo? Anyone have any recommendations?
Low mileage Polo - can I use an AGM battery?

AGM charging is completely different to lead acid charging. The battery needs digital management which the 6N does not have
If you dont drive it regularly, get a normal lead acid battery, and stick the car on a trickle charger
