Polo 6n with 6n2 Central locking pump

Post by LilLew »

Hey all

Just got hold of a 99 1.4 open air auto polo and when I went to see it the central locking wouldnt work down to the pump being fired from water and it came with a new pump but I think it is from a 6n2 I'm looking to wire it up does anyone have the wiring diagram for the 6n and then 6n2 pump connector as I can not find it on auto data

It should be the same plug, however, what exact part number has that pump got?

Alot of the time, unless the identical part number is used against what was originally fitted, the pump will not function correctly.

I will look for the part number the new one has the plug aswell but on the old connector there are 6 or 7 wires in total and the new one there is a few more maybe 10

Ok, the original is a mk3 golf cabriolet one. Youll want to get another of those as this 6n2 one wont work in your car, as this pump cannot be modified to work.

Ill check the pin differences later on
