Year: 2005 (54 Plate)
Make: Volkswagen
Model: Bora Highline
Engine: 1.9 TDi 130bhp (ASZ engine code) with 6 speed gearbox
Tax/MOT: Both December 2010
Mileage: c.53k (daily so rising)
Colour: Metallic Black
I bought this Bora in December last year and it hasn't caused me a single problem, apart from a couple of blown bulbs. Ride is smooth and very comfortable and can easily see 60mpg on a long drive. The best I achieved was 70mpg! The car has a full service history with a stamped book (unfortunately with no receipts). All services before I bought it were carried out at VW dealers or VW specialists. I have had no need to service it as of yet.
It is metallic black in colour and has a few marks in the paint such as a couple of stone chips, some light scratches from being parked in car parks and walked past and some bird s**t marks. There are no car park dings at all and only one small scuff on the off side wing mirror.
It comes with the 16" BBS Montreal II alloy wheels which are in a generally good condition with only a couple of of marks. No major curbing and these are wrapped with Michelin tyres in a 205/55/16 size. There is plenty of tread left on these tyres.
The interior is in excellent condition with bearly any wear on the seat bolsters. Everything works as it should and the only part that is damaged is the ash tray cover which seems to have had something spilt on it in the past.
Features:
16" BBS alloys
Driver/passenger/side air bags
Leather interior with heated front sports seats with lumber support
6CD changer in dash with gamma headunit
Power steering
Electric windows
Electric mirrors
Cruise control
ESP
Air conditioning (still nice and cold)
Steering wheel controls for stereo and cruise control
Alarm and immobiliser (standard VW)
Lighting for vanity mirrors
Trip computer
Auto wipers
Auto dimming rear view mirror
Headlight washers
Heated rear screen/side mirrors
Rear parking sensors
Net Optic finish on dash parts and grab handles
TT pedals (added by myself)
Pictures:
Overall, this is a very well specced car and is very nice to drive. Its very comfortable on long drives too and the heated seats are very nice in the winter months It has been regularly washed and waxed with meguiers products.

What's next then? Ibiza -> Bora -> ?
Notice much of a difference power-wise between the two? I think they were both PD130s, but with the Bora being heavier and all...
I love Boras, lot of car for the money. I might get one next.

Mk4 Golf is next but its a little bit special.
The Bora was no slouch, but it wasn't as quick as the Ibiza and seemed to stuggle with anything over 90mph to be honest. Only took it hat far once to be fair. Mainly due to the extra weight and it had a different gearbox, so I think it was ratioed lower than the Ibiza.
Nice car though but missed the hatchback look.
