Both FK and Weitec do 60mm shock/spring suspension kits for the gti I believe, there are probably others too? Although they maybe listed as 60/40 I believe the rear perch is height adjustable.
I don't think you'll have any major issues on a 60mm drop on 16's on the Gti, on 40 profile tyres.
As you probably know, Moynas is around -70mm on H&R coils, and with the 7x16 BBS RX you like.
Here are a couple of questions/comments previously made:
Q: Can I ask, were the arches flared before you fitted the RX's, or to accomodate them? I had assumed they would fit without arch work.
A: I got the arches done for my show wheels 15x8 schmidts which will change again soon as im getin them mirror polished, 16x7 bbs go under the arches just fine even with the 195/45 tyre!
My winter rims are 16x7 and they rub on the front @ -70mm down rears are ok because i have had my arches pulled and flared out!

What about the BBS's?

Good good, back on topic though 50mm is a decent amount I think for the GTi.CymruPolo wrote:What about them? (I'm after BBS RX in 16s )ModifiedMadness wrote: What about the BBS's?

Sorry I missed your request.CymruPolo wrote:Got any link to the FK ones?
The FK kit is called 'High Tec' and is available from various suppliers, a couple as follows:
