Alex what size tyres do you run on the 16? I'm debating going for 195/45/16s next as they are quite a bit cheaper

195/40/16s Joe

45s will scrub if you are lowered sadly as the profile is a smidge too big for the polo

I have 195/45x16, but am at standard height. Main reason was because I wanted a little rim protection as it was getting expensive to get them outside lips refurbed!

Yeah at standard height it's no problem. Just throws the speedo a little

Still got the Tiguan

Just sold the Polo GTI to dad (so he now has two!) and bought a 1991 Mk2 Golf GTI :D Was time for a classic again.

2006 A4 Avant, Pd170. Completely standard apart from remap! Have some xenons waiting for install over a year now though B)

I wouldnt say a Mk2 GTI is old and sensible :P It might be old, but its almost as quick as the Polo GTI 8)
