There in the same price range as RM's. you can sometimes get them a bit cheaper if they need refurbing etc...

Perfect style wheel for the 6n2 shape in my opinion. Don't suit a mk1 at all!!

Little update havent been up to much except for me and Matts adventure to western super mare :)

Went to pick up an exhaust system off a guy who was breaking a silver gti ended up buying . . . . .

Full exhaust manifold and lambda sensors
cup and coin tray which WORKED :)
2xhtc leads 1 set all red 1 set red and black
silver bonnet
tweeter covers
both door handles
manifold heat sheild
vw back badge
door pins
and assorted nuts and bolts

and other bits a pieces

then we fancied his borbet Ts which were on his car 14inchx8j so after alot of ummminng and arrinngg he sold them to us with 2 extra tyres :)

all for a sum of £400 which we thought wasnt bad 8)

Pics of the wheels which will more than likely be matthews soon :)

Image

Then this week i spotted a set of mk4 recaro seats in my local area on ebay sent him a message and picked the back bench in mint condition off him for £30 which i thought was a bargainnnn :)

Image

Then today i stripped them down and put the foam and covers on the polo gti seat frames :) need to send them just to get the holes where the leavers were to get trimmed

Next is sort out the sub and amp wiring as it is horrid ( i didnt wire it in ) maybe a boot build of some kind new steering wheel and more than likely wheels

Nice job on the seats me boy. We can be Recaro friends now ;) Pretty much the same interiors apart from winning seat covers ;)

PS Give me my Borbets and you didn't mention that your exhaust took 2 solid days to fit ahahahha

BEEN A LONG TIME :(

bought a new car couple of months ago diesel daily polo 9n. was going to sell the 6n2 gti and left it for a couple of months ummm and arring about it :? in the end i couldnt sell it :P so got a small unit with two friends one is mr ashcroft with a silver 6n2 gti on here and another vw friend !

Now its in a nice dry unit being stripped down ! iv got some new wheels for it but they are crazy fitment and waiting for custom adapters to be made if i can get them to fit it should look insane :D

so far.....

Picked up a raceland mani for a bargain £50 going to port polish it and heat wrap it :) just got to get a custom backbox made :)
had a coolant leak and found the radiator was leaking. stripped that out ready for a new one at some point !
got lots of plans and ideas in the pipe lines just got to figure out what i want to do :)

we all love pictures !

Looks like I'm not the only 1 online been sorting out a build thread tonight ;-)

You need a picture of the trail fit of wheels up just to show the crazy fitment from above :-p

long timeee !

havent had alot of time spare to update but lots of polo related work going on haha

got quiet a collection going on at the minute :|

Image

3 silver polo Gti's one I broke my original one and another i bought and sold to a friend.

Image

set of wheels that will be going on a polo when finished change of plan with these as i sourced a set of 4x100 faces so they will be split down and colour coded with the final polo :)

Image

Image

the latest polo :) which will be my project show car !

first things first rip the engine out and give the bay a degrease and polish.

Image

Engine has been stripped down now as i was told the bottom had gone. i then found out they ran the engine with no oil so the crank and shells are scored pistons seem straight rings fine and no scoring on the block. surprisingly there isnt scoring on the cams or head and the tappets dont seem damaged. il more than likely drop the engine out of my silver polo then depending on damage il rebuild the engine and strengthen then gearbox but that will be a winter project :)

Plans sort out the splits
engine bay iv picked up lots of parts bmc cda with intercooler piping.
lupo gti engine cover with r8 oil cap
and so many spare parts :)

more to comeeee :P

Ha ha, I'm glad there's someone else out there with more than one GTI! You just need a couple of black ones, they're the best
