Sticking window
Hi, I've had this problem before on polos, I know it's common, when doing the drivers side window up, it always needs me to grab the window and help it up otherwise it will stop, it's very slow, any idea how to fix this? Thanks

Re: Sticking window
This can be due to a number of things
Broken or breaking wires between the door and the body
Grease has dried up in the motor housing where the wire spool for the window mechanism lives
Tired motor
I’ve had success before in repairing the wires and greasing the motor up - lithium grease or similar works well
Sometimes the motor is past it though and has to be replaced
It can also be due to broken clips on the window lifters so check that too

Re: Sticking window
Thanks mate I'll have a look, does the motor need to be taken apart to grease it?

Yes, you have to take the part where the cables go into off the motor, and grease it all up inside
