I'm new to the forums as I have a GTI+ on order and after around 5 weeks I've finally received my order number and have been able to check it online and on the app. It's only showing as "with the factory" although going off the experiences documented in this thread I wasn't expecting much else.
My question is around the details of my order online and in the app. The only option I've added are the Brescias but the order doesn't show these listed plus it just lists it as "New Polo GTI 2.0 TSI 200PS 6-speed DSG 5 door", not a GTI+. Is this normal or should I be giving the dealer a call?

The car I test drove had some lovely add on covering and I loved it.
I ordered an El boggo gti+ so will get the red cloth.
Equally as comfortable?
I know the gti tartan well and love it but wonder about wear and tear between different materials available.
The cloth is fine so far - 5000miles/7 months in.
Sounds like you saw the Alcantara based "Art Velours" seats.
Ordered mine with "Art Velours" seats and it is mentioned on my order on the App.
Was told that the car was being built last week ( supposed to be this week) so waiting to see "In transit" appearing soon.

With a VW that has sports seats, the foam seat base bolster on car exit side (nearest the door) is more likely to collapse or move away from its intended position than the cloth fail.
Happened to my Golf R drivers seat at 2.5 years old.

I liked those seats but in equal measure, I like the Jacara cloth too.
Just got text this morning that as you all said the tracker has jumped to 5a in transit. Just waiting from dealer to let me know what
ship it will be on (Mare Celeste, Titanic or Flying Dutchman)!!!!

04.03.2019.
My dealer sent me a screenshot about six weeks back showing my car details and that had a build date of week 09/2019 (25th Feb). But yeah the tracker said the actual build date was 04.03.19.

Perhaps I'll see my 2nd GTI+ move into transit before or around the time it has been scheduled for build then (25.03.19 last time the tracker showed a specific scheduled build week) - they do seem to be pulling ahead of schedule by a week or 10 days.

Yeah that seems likely. From other people's experiences in the last few weeks and now mine I'm thinking you'll get the 'In Transit' notification on the 28.03.19.
Emailed my dealer this morning to see if I can get the name of the ship. I'm guessing it's sitting at the dock waiting to get on one though.
Oh mine has a confirmed build week 12 (so from the 18th), maybe it will be built next week instead. Can't believe people have had to wait a year for a mass produced hatchback to be built in this day and age, I guess I got lucky that the dealer group I'm buying mine from had a demo on order in almost the spec I want and due to be built only 2 weeks after I signed on the dotted line, I would have looked elsewhere if I couldn't have got a slot sooner.
The tracker is now working for my car, says GTi plus so the guy's who's just says GTi should speak to his dealer asap, is in "build week confirmed" stage, which the dealer told me is week 12.
