18x8 ET45
Michelin SuperSport 225/40/18
H&R -35mm springs

Perfect fit for me [emoji1305][emoji1305]
Looks great.
I see that you are running 225 width tyres, hows the ride and steering feel with these?

For me the ride is perfect, and with Michelin SuperSport tyres handles like a dream! Much higher corner speeds, and comfort is good as well :)

Any rubbing with this setup?

The slightly bigger tyre probably creates better comfort?

Me and my Polo cruised in blissful relative silence today, thanks to a piece of cloth between the tailgate and body.
Enjoyed the lack of knocking so much I switched off the stereo completely.

Took an unusually long trip to a shop and tested out the ACC on some windy roads and dual carriageway.
Pretty intuitive, I quite enjoyed myself.
I love the pick up speed for getting out of junctions sharpish.
Sound system is clean enough using Spotify and Android Auto.
That freaking rattling handbrake button though.
If anybody comes up with a solution to that, please share it.

So I praised ACC earlier.
For some reason i got some Sensor error when stuck on a portion of motorway that was limited to 50.
Took a few goes at disabling and re-enabling for it to kick back in again.
I'm hoping such a small thing as a bug splat isn't going to create issues.
Not saying it was a bug splat but nothing else was hindering the view.

If my handbrake button was rattling, I'd probably poke a small ball of plumbers PTFE tape around between the button and the handle using a piece of card to get it in without marking anything.

For the handbrake button rattle, I've had the issue on both my Polos, sprayed some Wurth Silicone Lubricant spray and the rattle is gone.
For just in case, I purchased as new handbrake button, they are extremely cheap.

Takes only a small amount of snow to completely cock up the radar at the front.
I'm not even talking snow that's settling on the sensor, I'm just talking snow in the air.
"PING PING VISION IMPAIRED"
So a bug splat wouldn't surprise me.
Did you get the vision impaired warning?

Indeed I did.
About 3 orange lights in various places in the dash.

Had the issue once with falling snow on the Red GTI+.

The pre facelift Golf 7's ACC sensor in the lower grille seemed a little more sheltered from the elements but in prime placement to be taken out by someone reversing their towbar equipped car into it.

On the Golf, it used to throw up warnings on long, tight, continuous bends - for me that was the north bound Tyne Tunnel. As the tunnel spirals up from its lowest point under the Tyne, for the best part of 1/3 of a mile, the sensor is looking at the concrete walls and when you get out the other end, the ACC used to throw up a fault. The integrated ACC/badge solution is so much tidier than the old one.

It's such a pain in the ass, it really is.
I don't have ACC, so would be happy if I could just switch it off altogether - I didn't want or need the anti-collision crap.
If I could tape a picture of a clear road onto the sensor and 'fool' it, I would honestly think about it. :D

Had three 'Is it safe to move' warnings this morning on the work commute. Think it had something to do with the parking pilot?

I was sitting in traffic but no cars got particularly close to me. Found it a bit annoying after the third time.

Today I gave my car a valet. Inside and out as well as underneath. Photos show results after a wash and wax, came up super shiny and swirl free. (wheels weren't done at time of photo)

Had to travel a bit to run an errand today so my Mrs got her first chance to take a ride in the car.
She loves it compared to my previous car.
We got onto a bit of open dual carriageway so I gave her a little sample of the acceleration and she giggled with excitement.
She wasn't expecting it to be so full on.
I did not even give it the full beans because I am still running in but it is going to be great fun once I am happy that it is ready to take a bit of hammer.
