Next MOD will be LED door warning lights.

Looks good - did you find the wiring already there or did you run a feed to it.

Thanks.

Spent this evening coating the glass on the wife's Polo with Gyeon Q2 View. No photos.

Also checked out the engine bay. The tiny little 3cly unit is quite comical with all that empty space.

Anyone consider running 225/35r18 instead of 215/40r18 Tyres ?

225/40r18 seems abit big for a Polo GTI?

I wouldn't like to in the UK, the state of the roads would ruin my alloys!

My Alpina BMW used to run 35/30 profile tyres and it was an absolute nightmare for wheel damage.
Umpteen dent repairs.
Got to the point I avoided certain routes, which is silly.
So I agree with you.

225/35 are far too small - 14.5mm smaller diameter than than standard 215/40. 225/40 is only 8mm larger than 215/40, only 1.25% bigger. 225/35 R18 is a bit of a niche size, like 21540 R18, so tyres will be expensive- unlike 225/40 R18.

They look cool and good job well done. The mirror-mounted puddle lites on my Golf are obviously better than nothing but mostly just shine down the outside of the front doors reminding you the doors are still there. Something you'd probably notice fairly quickly anyway  ....

Gave my Polo a damn good post-winter clean and a coat of C2V3 - noticed 6 paint chips I'll have to sort out - 3 on the bonnet, 1 on the front bumper and 2 on the rear passenger side door that look related (same stone, 2 impacts?).

I see that you are running 225 width tyres, hows the ride and steering feel with these?
