Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
Hi All,
Fitted a set of these to the wifes car
They are the Golf GTI Club Sport wheel hub covers, they are not a direct fit as the Golf has a bigger centre bore so you have to cut the retaining clips and attach them to some spare Audi a1 hub covers I had.
The result is really good against the black wheels:
I'm happy to share how I did this if anyone is interested. Hub covers (Genuine Parts) sourced from ebay around £60, donor A1 star shaped hub covers (free) had them in the garage, Glue - JB Black Epoxy Plastic Bonder £6 from Amazon, my time (free). As they are held in place by the donor A1 centre caps which are sprung they can be removed as per normal centre caps by pushing outwards from the inside the wheel.
cheers
Moray

I have to say, with the diffuser at the back I really like it.RichTea wrote:Im a big kid it heart lol. Always wanted these growing up after watching the fast and the furious
Is it plugged into ignition or light switches, or separate with a remote ?

It's plugged into the 12v mate, you can buy ones with Bluetooth for a little extraMattHGR wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 5:17 pmI have to say, with the diffuser at the back I really like it.RichTea wrote:Im a big kid it heart lol. Always wanted these growing up after watching the fast and the furious

Yep, Red Paint, with the red light - goes well together and looks good.
Clearly you can pick your moments when to use, quite a bit of hard work to get all that fitted no doubt !!
Thumbs up from me... MJ

Tbh mate it was pretty simple to fit, it just takes a few hours just to route the wires under the car. Yes theres a on/off button right next to the handbrake
