Hello,
I have Polo Beats, 95HP - factory rims Bonneville 17" 215/45 and I need replace it to 185/65 15" (factory size too) for better comfort (poor roads quality in my country)
Which tyres you recommend?
Hankook
KINERGY ECO 2 K435 185/65 R15 88 H
or
Michelin
ENERGY SAVER+ 185/65 R15?
Which tyres you have on your Polo with 15" rims?
Which tyres for new Polo?

Re: Which tyres for new Polo?
I recently asked this on the Honest John forum, and they suggested Michelin Cross Climates for a smoother ride and low noise. They also perform well in the cold as well as in warmer months.

I have CrossClimate+ on 15" and they have load index XL = very hard tire. I feel it.

Thanks, I wonder why the journalist Honest John recommends them? Have you compared them against other tyres on the same car?rododendron wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 8:13 pmI have CrossClimate+ on 15" and they have load index XL = very hard tire. I feel it.

$$$$$Thanks, I wonder why the journalist Honest John recommends them? Have you compared them against other tyres on the same car?
I compared on new Ibiza, OEM Hankook Eco 2 (summer) vs Michelin CrossClimate+ for winter (both 185/65 R15). CrossClimate+ are very quiet tyres but feel uncomfortable on bumpy roads and braking distance is longer (30*C outside) than typical summer tyres (Hankook in this case).
Polo is small car, ~1010kg so tyres with extra load XL no needed for city. It is not a VAN / SUV / sedan.

Re: Which tyres for new Polo?
Thanks. That is a shame. Cross Climates are of course better in winter than summer tyres. But if the ride is poor, that takes them off my list.rododendron wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 9:18 pm$$$$$Thanks, I wonder why the journalist Honest John recommends them? RIde is poorer for me when compared to summer tyre without XL index a lot of people skip XL load index.
