Soooo, what did we all think of the Grand Tour Episode featuring the Polo GTI?

I quite like the idea of having a Mushroom coloured car. 😂

Lots of footage, and the drag race was interesting as the Polo trounced the ST and the Yaris. The VW quoted time of 0-60 in 6.7 often proven to be conservative..

^ That mushroom car is Limestone Grey, really don't like it 90% of the time. That 10% of the time it looks like a proper moody grey (in poor light) its great, but metallic Greige is horrible.

Red's not perfect. I'm on my second. It can look great in certain lighting conditions but can have an orange tint in others.

I like my Limestone Grey car, but then I like it when it looks bronze, or brown, or mushroom. 😂

A fully restored Allegro Equipe is on my 'want' list.

What - you'll get reported for writing things like that!
They did seem to be able to resist rusting better than their peers though - why not get an estate instead - oh no, see what you made me write, I'll get reported as well!

It was BL’s Alfa Sud including terminal rust and a tendency to be stationary rather than on the road. At least the Alfa Sud was good to drive for the six months before it rusted away or broke down.
Actually though an immaculate rust free All Aggro could be a good classic car investment, there cannot be many left. :)

I remember the Equipe version of the Allegro being very well received by the press and said to be a very worthy competitor to the Alfasud.
There's allegedly only 17 left in the UK.
I'm an Alfa fan as well, I've owned a 156 and 159.
