Do you happen to know if its possible there's a ratchet system in the polos armrest, so you can raise it a few notches? Possibly a deactivated system?Dark_cze wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 6:29 pm I took a look for part number and it should be:
number 17 - 6F0863289
number 24 - 6F0864207
look like easy swap, just take out that tray (16) and bolt in arm rest (nuts should be already there if not it is M6 nut) than push that back cover on

some one at seat forum already did this swap and posted whole list of needed parts:

Re: 2018 Polo Armrest
Iam not sure. Probably not but I dont have polo yet.
Re: 2018 Polo Armrest
No the one in my SEL is extendable, when extended it kind of points down slightly more. There is NO ratchet that allows the arm rest to be raised a few notches. So for me I have to lower the seat a bit to allow my arm to rest on the arm rest. Its fine but I think the lack of ratchet is an error. I sat in a 17 plate Skoda Fabia estate at the weekend the SEL version had an arm rest and it does ratchet. so you can set it to a comfortable height and it will stay there.TElwoody wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 8:49 pmDo you happen to know if its possible there's a ratchet system in the polos armrest, so you can raise it a few notches? Re: 2018 Polo Armrest
I put the links on for anyone who had ordered a non plus GTI such as myself that might be interested in an armrest. Personally I have ordered a Seat Ibiza armrest which looks like it should fit going off the diagram posted in this forum, it is built on the same MQB platform and the fact that it says VW underneath it. I get my car tomorrow so I will let you know if it does fit.
Re: 2018 Polo Armrest
So the car has arrived today and I can safely say that the Seat Ibiza/Ateca armrest I had bought does fit properly without any issues. If anyone else is interested in doing this please see my previous link to the Seat armrest in the link I posted previously.

Re: 2018 Polo Armrest
Hi,
Anyone have any idea on where I would find the Part no. for the Arm rest found in the beats model (White / Grey Interior).
Or if someone has one, and could tell us the number.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I made this account to post my experience with the arm rest mod. I just did it, used that image posted before and it is exactly the same thing here in Brazil.
A few things to consider before doing this mod is:
I`d recommend this mod, this definitely adds more comfort while driving, I have a manual version so it`s a lot better for me.

A few things to consider before doing this mod is:
- There`s no piece 17, I mean, that plain lid that seals the backside doesn't exist (at least on my location)
- Besides buying the arm rest, you`ll need an iron support that goes in the sides plus 2 screws to put on it (pieces 18 and 40)
- If you want to, you`ll need to drill a two holes on a iron support that sits underneath the arm rest, so you can fixate the arm rest properly. Otherwise your armrest will be slightly loose (mine is like that and its totally ok for me)
- You may not find the correct color that matches your console, at least on my location there was only a darker gray
I`d recommend this mod, this definitely adds more comfort while driving, I have a manual version so it`s a lot better for me.

Re: 2018 Polo Armrest
Hi all,
Could someone with an armrest please measure the opening at the top, length and width. Thinking of getting an arm rest tray, similar to the one linked https://www.amazon.co.uk/Armrest-Storag ... B01MQ20MGH
Cheers all
