Delivery time from South Africa to UK Dealership?

I am sure I had read somewhere that the delivery time from South Africa to UK Dealership is 8 weeks?

My dealership told me 3 or 4 day from SA, also i asked about the quality check in Germany but they said it comes here direct?

Does anyone have any up to date info on actual delivery time?

Hi,

I know a few people have had their polo’s quicker than me but my time line is as follows:

Ordered 13th Jan
Built wc 9th April
Left Port Elizabeth around the 24/25th April
18 days on a boat to Emden ( stopped at Vigo in Spain and Belgium on the way )
Mine got delayed at Emdon waiting for a boat to Grimsby so was there for just over two weeks
Got to the U.K. on Thursday evening 31st May.
Waiting for delivery to the dealer, hopefully in the next 3 or 4 days tops.
Fingers crossed I’ll have it around the weekend of the 15th June
So that’s pretty much dead on 5 months for me. 21 weeks

3 to 4 days from SA, must be flying them in, I'd think that they would need to exceed the speed limit in the Suez canal and not stop at Spain to achieve that!

Mine left Port Elizabeth aboard Prominent Ace around 24th May. Currently docked in Zeebrugge, live chat said it should have been in Emden last week?? Original eta was mid June to UK dealer but I'm guessing more like mid July at this rate...

I'm getting mixed stories each time from VW.

My tracker had said it was complete on Wednesday 6th June.

The first time (Friday 8th June), the chat said they were unable to get the vessel name until it was actually on the boat.

Today Monday 11th June. the chat said it was on the boat Wednesday 6th June but they arn't able to track the ship from South Africa, only from Emden.

What do i need to do/say to get an accurate answer?

Confirmation of the name of the Vessel from VW Customer Services, and then track the Ship yourself.

Customer Services Confirmed that mine is on Capricornus Leader, and I'm tracking it using Marine Traffic:

The My VW Tracker is probably the least accurate piece of the chain.
