Weird noise. Polo GTi+ 2019

Post by CosminPeste »

Hi,

My GTi+ has been delivered two days ago and it's absolutely incredible, fantastic car for its value, imo.

Unfortunately, since yesterday, a weird noise is coming from the front passenger side wheel, it's like a squeaky sound.

I have attached a video (sorry about sound quality, it was difficult to record it) , maybe someone had a similar issue.

Do you think it will go away in time (the car has only 70 miles)?
Also, should I spray some brake cleaner over the brake disc and caliper or should I bring it back to the VW dealership?

Take it back, they are not designed or engineered to make a noise like that is always my argument. The car still smells ike a showroom its so new.
I also had issues with brakes like that loooong ago but they were aftermarket ones, took them off and the noise went away.

Hello,

I went back to the dealership and they managed to fix it straight away. The problems were some piece of paper sitting in between the brake pads and the brake discs. Where did they come from, that's a mistery.

Poor pre-delivery checks?
