It's not ratcheted for height like the Golf on is. A 500ml Coke/Pepsi bottle inside the armrest gets the lid to a handy height.

Yeah design flaw. I wedge a thick key ring (about 15mm) in and it’s perfect.

The old 2010 Polo GTI was adjustable.

But not forwards and backwards, like the new one!

I find it fine, slid a bit forward. It's the same unit in the Ibiza (same part numbers, I believe). But I have the seat quite low as I'm quite tall.

There are several things I find annoying on the Polo GTI+ one of them being the armrest. Why did VW designers not put it at the same height as the drivers armrest on the door. Its so annoying having your arms resting at different heights........
