1 touch electronic window fault

Post by Ecko_1 »

I drive a 2019 Polo R Line. Bought it new in Jan 2019. I'm in South Africa.

This week my 1 touch function on the driver window has stopped working. It is the physical switch that no longer has the second click up or down. I don't think resetting the comfort function will fix it.

Has anyone else heard of this problem before?

I plan on taking it to a dealer when I get some time.

Elo boet, yes it happened to me with my 6C as well.
There is a setting to restore it but to be honest I dont recall how to at the moment. Call your VW dealership they and will tell you in seconds :)

I dont think mine will be fixed with a setting. The actual 2nd click is gone on the physical button.

I have the same issue. Also in SA. Stops working randomly for a few days and then works again after 2 days or so. Going in for a service this week and asking them to check it.

Setting method is in the manual. It's something like opening the window right up and holding the switch there for 5 seconds after it has reached the bottom, then closing again in one continuous movement and holding the switch for another 5 seconds. Usually needs a reset after battery has been disconnected or if anti-squeeze has been triggered.

But the OP has confirmed that the "feel" of the switch has changed, the second "section" can't be felt, so it should really be a new switch panel that is needed.
