Like some other users, I encountered problems with different driver aids refusing to cooperate. Start-stop, blind spot, acc, parking sensors, rear view camera, parking assistant and so on...
These would stop working now and again for a while and then would come on again.
Yesterday morning they just stopped working all at once and refused to come on again.
Little irritated, I phoned my dealer and took the car in for a guarantee repair.
To my astonishment, the culprit was a plug located in the driver's footwell.
The reason why it all stopped working all together was the fact that the plug came totally loose because the lock on the plug was damaged.
Earlier it probably wasn't making proper contact and thats why the different driver's aids were switching off and on again when the plug made good contact.
Finally the plug came totally off thus switching off all driver's aids.
Because it was mechanical damage, this would not be covered by the guarantee.
I wondered how on earth would it be possible to break such a plug.
You can't reach it with your foot unless you are Yeti and you wouldn't play with the plug either.
I can only assume that some JACK would force it at the factory thus damaging it during assembly...
So next time your driver's aids give you hassles check this plug first.
