17” Pamplona Wheels
Can anyone advise if you can still buy these wheels?
Taking delivery of a new beats polo later this week and not really keen on the standards, not too keen on the 17" Bonneville Alloys either.
If the Pamplonas aren’t available what options are there? I prefer silver / more standard looking alloys.
Cheers,
Shaun

Here in South Africa the Polo Vivo (last gen 6c) is equipped with them from facotry so should be available:

Pamplonas are the best, I can't think why they wouldn't be available to purchase from VW.

Would prefer the silver but would maybe take either if they are proving difficult to get hold off.

Re: 17” Pamplona Wheels
Which wheels have you ordered for the Beats Shaun ?
If you've gone for the 17" Bonnevilles you might be lucky and find somebody with Pamplonas who will do a swap.

Re: 17” Pamplona Wheels
They’re out of stock at the link posted by OomStu_ZA, and I couldn’t see any other sellers of brand new ones online.
If they are still available to purchase as a VW accessory, then it’s possible that there maybe a shortage of supply because of the pandemic - e.g. if whoever manufactures these wheels for VW aren’t yet back up to full production capacity. Also, I dare say if a wheel manufacturer has a contract to supply VW, priority will always be given to supplying wheels for new car builds rather than making them available as a VW accessory.
@shaunrazer; I’d suggest you keep checking periodically to see if and when they become available again. Alternatively, used ones do come up for sale (you’d need to check they’re genuine OEM and haven’t suffered any structural damage / had structural repairs), or consider a set of aftermarket wheels in a similar design to the Pamplona alloys from a reputable manufacturer such as BBS, Ronal, Borbet (there are many others) - in fact BBS, Ronal and Bordet manufacture alloys for many car manufacturers, including VW.

Re: 17” Pamplona Wheels
Thanks for the info!
Just the standard wheels whatever they are, I didn’t order it as such, it was one they had sitting.
Any other quick mods people would suggest?
I’ll do the bulbs, I've bought premium plates with 3D lettering...

Re: 17” Pamplona Wheels
It depends on your budget - I've seen a forum member who has modified a standard model with loads of fancy stuff, fitted the electronic dash / dials , you can do things with the coding OBD reader. Probably best leave engine stock, concentrate on visuals / interior. Someone also fitted a different steering wheel recently. What colour are you getting? Those alternative pamploma wheels do set it off well, you could be lucky and pick up a set on ebay in good condition.shaunrazer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 7:34 pm Thanks for the info!

Re: 17” Pamplona Wheels
Wow didn't realise you had those fitted Really suits the car in white, looks more like a Golf than the Polo for some reason maybe it's being on 17 inch wheels.POLO Clive wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 5:43 pm Pamplonas are the best, I can't think why they wouldn't be available to purchase from VW.
