I'm loving that fat torque curve
That would make a world of difference.

Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap
Agreed. Do you know if the stock DSG6 gearbox has a torque limit? Or does it need a remap do handle the increase

Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap
Interesting stuff. I’ve heard a DSG tune goes a long way and helps with power delivery.
I am sat here fighting with myself on whether to get it done, wish I could drive one with a stage 1 to see the difference and whether it’s worth it

Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap
You can drive mine, but then you have to come over to the Netherlands But I can strongly recommand it. This engine really needs a chip. And the combination with a DSG tune makes it really perfect. Essential is to have it done by a renowned VAG specialized company. In the Netherlands you can count them on one hand. I don't know about the UK
Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap
This is the issue, so many dealers just using someone’s product,I want it done now but I’m very very skeptical. Like it all these companies can offer a stage one with 250bhp and 420nm, why are companies like racing line and revo so slow behind?Rosinfield wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 6:23 amYou can drive mine, but then you have to come over to the Netherlands But I can strongly recommand it. Has anyone here or on this forum ever used “quantum tuning” ?
Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap
I’ve been doing some research recently and found a couple companies in the Uk who do tuning with reputable companies, there’s on a little out the way for me but I’m willing to travel and they offer both APR tuning and TVS engineering tuning both I’ve looked up are very good.S_94 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 11:32 pmIn the same boat. Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap
Does seem quite expensive. All the well reviews tuning locations close to me charge between £300 and £400 for the ECU tune and a further £300 for a DSG remap.Jackgti wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 5:17 pmTVS ENGINEERING STAGE 1 and stage 1 dsg remap providing 430nm and 260bhp £900 here on a dynoRosinfield wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 2:05 pm TVS is a Dutch company renowned for solving all kind of DSG issues. Those performance numbers do look healthy though.
Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap
Yeah so the £900 includes dyno time, not sure how much that costs, the remap is £399 and the dsg remap is £349 so dyno is about £150 extra?Stuart_Rendall wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:40 amDoes seem quite expensive. Currently contacting another company that offer the same service but seeing how they price it.

When you had yours done, what figures is your car pumping out?Rosinfield wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 5:50 am That's a lot. At Vag Techniek it costed me £ 695, DSG stage 2 included
Does it feel much different?
The 260bhp and 455nm torque from TVS is on 99ron fuel which is like shell vpower here in the UK which is what I use anyway so I’m hoping to feel a good difference.
