Re: PR codes sticker
The dealer attached mine as part of the handover process when I collected my car. They attached one to the boot floor area and the other just inside the front of the owner’s manual. That second copy used to be fixed inside the front of the service book, but since VW moved to digital servicing records (in the UK at least), it should be attached inside the front of the owner’s manual.

Hi SRGTD,
Thanks for your detailed reply..And right answer.
But in TW, We are not given the sticker in the boot floor area ,and not given owner’s manual.
so,I need some reference sticker for check PR codes.
Thanks.

Re: PR codes sticker
Here’s mine - my car is a 2020 GTI+ which in addition to the standard UK spec for the ‘plus’ model, has 18” alloys, reversing camera and Deep Iron dash pad inserts rather than the standard Red Velvet dash pad inserts. Might not be of much use if the spec of the Polo GTI in your country is different to the UK spec.

Hi SRGTD,
I study you PR codes, find you have sport select suspension..
That's so enviable...
My TW_GTI only have -15mm sport suspension,so the back seat is uncomfortable..
let me want to upgrade my car to sport select suspension.(link sport mode key)
Does anyone know how to do it?
Please,teaching...
Thanks.

Re: PR codes sticker
It is interesting viewing the difference of our PR codes SRGTD. It appears we have very similar specs but I have spotted some unusual difference.SRGTD wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 11:19 am Here’s mine - my car is a 2020 GTI+ which in addition to the standard UK spec for the ‘plus’ model, has 18” alloys, reversing camera and Deep Iron dash pad inserts rather than the standard Red Velvet dash pad inserts. Where yours quotes CQ4 mine is 40Q which is normal as I assume you have the 18inch and I have the 17inch but I see you also have I11 which is the correct tyre for your 18's but mine states H6T which appears to be 205/60 R15... now i'm no genius but I can tell the tyres on my 17's aren't screaming at the seams. Also you have 1ZU and I have 1ZB which both appear to be front disc brakes but duplicated in VW PR code terms... seems pointless that they've done that.
Very confused about the whole tyre situation though. I did post a while back in another post about tyres that mine mysteriously came with Michelin PS4's and not the Primacy 4 that are standard on the 17's.

Re: PR codes sticker
@Stuart_Rendall; agree on the confusion front and yes, I have 18” wheels.
I’ve not checked through the PR codes on my car’s data sticker - my car is the spec I ordered, which is the important thing for me. I did check through the PR codes on a data sticker of a previous VW I owned though, and remember struggling to reconcile it to my car’s spec.
The PR code for tyres on your car is an interesting one - I’m assuming there wouldn’t be a risk of VW fitting the wrong size tyres in the factory - I’d like to see them try to fit 205/60 R15’s to a set of 17” Parker alloys though! . Presumably VW fit PS4’s to 17” Parker’s in some non-UK markets and you were lucky enough to get these fitted to your car when it was built.

Re: PR codes sticker
This is interesting..
How do you find out what each of these codes mean? Is there a website that you can go to ?

Re: PR codes sticker
Try a search on ‘VW PR codes decoder’. The search results will return various site with either a list or a decode tool.grazuncle2 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 10:33 am This is interesting..

@grazuncle2,
For example...

I08 : Tires 185/65 R15 88H low rolling resistance
8GG : Alternator 110 A
0AR : Front stabilizer

Re: PR codes sticker
Thanks for that..
I did look up a few sites
Something is wrong though.
DI6 doesn't bring anything up.. though D16 says PRCode: D16 = 4-cyl. gasoline engine 1.4 l/96 kW 4V TSI Base engine is TT3
Definitely not a 4 Cyl 1.4l engine in mine LOL
I knew I would get more questions than answers after looking .. like
PRCode: 0AR = Front stabilizer.... is this anti roll bar?
Thanks for looking and the search ideas.

Re: PR codes sticker
@grazuncle2,
Your PR Code have a di6 not d16...
di6 : 3-cylinder SI engine 1.0 l/70 kW TSI
d16 : 4-cylinder SI engine 1.4 l/96 kW 4V TSI
0AR = Front stabilizer.... yes ,this is a anti roll bar for 70kw 1.0 Polo
0AT = Front stabilizer for GTI
Have fun...
