I'd call the guy back and say "Underlay! Underlay! Arriba! Arriba!"
The fix should definitely be a full restoration to pre-damped conditions, not a "make best of existing parts" situation.

Had him call just now and they have replaced the carpets and lining so it sounds like they have done a proper job. Once I pick it up I will update to see if they mean the floor mat carpets or the main interior one lol

Should have titled it heavily water soaked carpets
They’ve done a fantastic job! The carpet and underlay has been replaced. They did manage to scratch the leather handbrake possibly from removing the seats but that’s easily fixed.
