Valve/breather on camshaft cover

Post by littlepolo » Fri Jan 12, 2018 12:50 pm

What is the purpose of this thing that sits atop the camshaft carrier?

Does the oil separator at the rear of the block not provide breathing for the crankcase?

Its a one way valve to allow air in but not oil vapour out. Without it, youll get backflow and oil will come out.
