Think it has to be unscrewed by removing the headlining

you don't have to remove the complete headliner, just the plastic piece at the very back. you can then pull the headliner downwards and reach the antenna base. make sure you wear a long sleeve top or your arms will itch for days because of the headliner material :wink:

how is it secured on?

a screw? so will i need to get a screwdriver in there? or will it just come off by hand?

forgot to mention there is a large nut that secures the base to the roof. you will need pliers to remove it.

i used a socket wrench, and another thing its on reverse thread. :!:
