My 9N TDI Sport

Post by TimGti »

Thought I'd finally get a few pics up of my 9N. Its a 1.9 TDI PD Sport 100. After selling my Mk4 Golf in exchange for something more economical, I planned to leave this alone but got a bit bored over easter!...

FK silverline X coilies
Votex Kit bits
TT comps with Yoko rubber
New plates
& a few other small bits

Dont really like the rear of the Votex kit, prefer the shape of the standard valence & I thought Id leave the spoiler off too.

The first pics are with the back most of the way down. (but still have both adjuster rings and the rubber mounts in)!

These pics taken today after raising it about 10mm all round & putting some 10mm spacers on the rear. Cant decide what I prefer, lower or wider, cant get it low and wide on the back as it wont move! As it is I think 10mm spacers is pushing it!

Also have to consider Im doing 100 miles a day at the moment!

The colour of my car never fails to amaze me how different it can look in certain lights! Green/Blue/Grey ????

I thought a 40mm drop was the max on 17" wheels let alone 18s!

Miss my Mk4 golf too mate :(

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. As it happens, the spacers are slightly too wide and the tyres just catch the arches, think i need to get some 5mm ones instead! Then I can drop it back down a little

Next on the list of things to do is:

Change those 10mm spacers for 6mm ones to stop it from catching
De-lock the driver door handle
Maybe paint the calipers Red, not sure yet though
Maybe see what a Leon Cupra R splitter looks like under the front, not sure if the dimensions are similar enough for it to fit though :?

you off to the gti international? would be good to get some shots with you!

I'm doing the calipers too once I can be bothered - but they'll be black, I think red isn't the way with the dub styles..... but each to their own! would be interested to see the results.

do you notice much difference with the bigger wheels in acceleration? I'm sure on the motorway it's a bit worse, but otherwise ok.
