Thinking of selling my GT TDi.

Post by pip_polo »

I've put my GT back to standard, except the 312mm brakes.
Thinking about selling it and getting a big car like an A4/passat/superb estate etc.
The car is a cad D, it was crashed into a wall at fairly low speed, all that needed doing was new.. Bonnet, single headlight, wing and windscreen. The airbags didnt even go off.
So the question is, how am i going to value it? Obviously its worth less than a 'normal' GT.
Its '54' plate with around 58000 miles, full service history reports ect printed off from VW when i got the car @54k, since then its been VW specialist etc.
If i didnt say it was cat D youd never know.

Hmmm haha

Cheers

My car is the same a cat d due to some idiot putting paint stripper over it. The car won't be registered as a cat d as no requirement to notify dvla about that. So I guess as long as the car has been repaired to the required standards then I would say poss 5-10% less than a non damaged car.
