New to Polos, but not new to veedubs....

......Ey up!

Hello UK-Polos forum peeps!!!

Me and the wife now have a 1.2 SE 12v for her.

Here he is....

Super clean, inside and out and under etc etc

And only 56k......

The only issue is the paint. As around that era, the paint on certain colour of cars lost their pigmentation. Doesn't bother me nor her and gives it loads of character.

However, she wanted yellow, I wanted aircon. Simples! A few niggles. but nothing me and VAGCOM cant sort out, and hence me asking questions and looking at the FAQs, How to's etc

Staying standard, her decision, her car.

FYI, my passat....

....and my nearly finished 69 custom bug......

Thread ya later

Right, first question.

The wife wants the handbook, which wasn't included in the sale. Been looking at this on ebay....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272349098718?

Its got the Gamma head unit with CD above and Climatronic.... see below.

Will/should this cover it? ie for the Climatronic and Gamma unit?

Cheers

it covers general day to day operation. Should be all you need to know in there

Climatronic is a rare option and a very nice option to have. Hit auto and let it do its thing on between 20-22 degrees (whatever you find comfortable)

You would be wise to lose the gamma and replace it with a modern offering as the sound quality amongst other things is easily ten times better

Cheers Alex,

Seller eventually came through (eventually) and confirmed it would cover the car.

Looking at double din units and bit of a minefield, so a bit more research.
