Replacing the door lock module is a bit of a pain of a job,and occasionally I had the missus help me whilst removing/refitting the inner metal door skin c/w elec window mechanism.Just in case you do the job - the actual lock module is attached by 2x spline bolts - other screws are mostly torx (a torx bit will not undo the spline bolts).
I used an online guide for reference (although he always got the torx bit size wrong LOL) and it was worth watching a YT vid for how to remove the door (external) lock.
It took me approx 4.5 hours but I am not a fast worker.
I can put a link up for the online guide if reqd.
And so far the 'ebay special' module from Titanautoparts (£29.00 inc p and p) has worked fine (time will tell) .
