What I know:
- 1.2 2002 Polo Petrol
- Drove car two days ago, ran fine and parked up
- Went to start today and engine turns over but won't start, interior lights ON, stereo ON, front lights work etc.
- Car has recently had new timing belt, new spark plugs and full service
- Have tried jump leads, push start with no luck
Please help!

Presumably it ran after OK the belt was changed.
Worthwhile checking spark (remove and earth a single spark plug) and fuel (are the plugs wet from cranking) to rule them out.

When you say belt, do you mean the one you can see ?
The 1.2 azq has a chain, and I'm afraid it sounds very much like it has jumped (just finished replacing one in the eldests car)
The symptoms were exactly the same. Fine one minute then failed to start.
This happened at about 70k miles.
The parts cost about £80 but it's a job for someone who is comfortable stripping down part of the engine.
