Buying 9n 1.4i 3dr 105k

Hi there,

I am new to this forum. It is now few weeks I am looking around for used polo 9n. I need a car manly for weekend trips and occasional city commute. I was searching for used car and I really like the look of this polo model. I have quite close to where i live and was wondering if anyone could give advice on what to check where to be careful with buying used polo.

First of all I do not know much about cars so the question is is it better to book a check somewhere around with the mechanic?

The car is 2004 polo 9n, 1.4 petrol engine 75ps. The cambelt and waterpump has been done in 68k and now 105k on the clock. No rust on the pictures and cosmetically in good condition. What would the most common and most expensive issues be with this type of polo?

The 1.4 is a fairly reliable engine unlike the 1.2

So long as it has a decent service history it should tank on no problems
