She's only gone and lost her keys!

Hi all,
My other half as only gone and lost her keys. We only had one key, so what is my cheapest option for a replacement????

Well VW will be the only place to go to get a new key that fits that car's locks, that info should be held by them as by the time these cars were built, VW had stopped including a tag with the key/lock number on it as they invariably got lost. After that, I'm guessing that it depends on how quickly you need that car in use again, so maybe let your local VW garage recover the car and code the new key and remove the code for the old key.

I'm sure that this is not the first car key to get lost, so I'm sure that you now know the smart plan was to get a second key as soon as you bought that car - if I were you, I'd be finding a cheap way for getting a spare key as soon as you have sorted this "no key" situation out.
