Changing headlight wiring to have DRL

Hi
I have a 2003 Polo. Right now if engine is off and I turn the round switch, lights go on and buzzer rings.

In Switzerland we are obliged to have either DRL or headlights on even during the day.

Is there a way to rewire the circuit so one can leave the switch always on and the headlights would go on only when the engine is turned on?

Or a relay that turns the headlights on when engine is on? This path seems more difficult as the halogens do concume quite a bit, might be necessary to add a fuse?

Alternatively can one tweak so the from fog lights stay on when engine is on? Maybe that is the easiest solution?
