The air recirculation button has stopped working totally on all settings.
I'm not sure if the flap is stuck to fresh air of recycle, I can see the flap but can't move it, is there a fix? I think the button is at fault as nothing happens when pressed. Has anyone had this issue, and how do I just have fresh air for now

Check fuses. Does your AC still work?

Ac works... can’t see a fuse for air circ?
Re: Air recirculation not working ( no light on button)
I was looking at this the other day, because the blower unit stopped in ours. Turns out a fuse went, but there were 3-4 fuses related to that area of the dash. I was reading the fuse diagram in the Haynes manual, which I can't get to in my garage at the min to take a pic. Try Google diagram?

Ac works just the recirculation light not coming on and flap not responding

Re: Air recirculation not working ( no light on button)
Normally it ends up being the recirculating flap motor that fails.
If you can move it into the normal position you could live with it being faulty, so you need to work out which position it is presently in.
Replacing that in some VW Group cars is very tricky and can end up being “dashboard out” as the flap motor is very near the inner side panel of the car, I can’t say for this version of Polo, certainly for my old 2000 B5 Passat, there was not enough clearance to replace the flap motor with the dashboard still in place!
Edit:- getting this car scanned using VCDS would reveal most of the time if the flap motor was faulty.

I think it’s stuck in recycle so drawing air from within the cabin.. any tips on how to move it back will help as I would prefer fresh outside air

Maybe search on this forum and on the Fabia MK1 forum on Briskoda.net and you should find some tips on getting this flap moved - by doing that you might be able to find why it is jamming if the flap motor is still potentially okay without breaking something.
I've been very lucky so far and not needed to find out how to do that, my 2000 Passat 4Motion ended up being left mid way so I lived with that as it was impossible to sort out without removing the dashboard.
