The drivers side central locking is not locking all the locks, it only opens the lock for that door when the key is turned. The central locking works fine on passenger side locking all doors when key turned including the drivers side.
I have a new (secondhand) working control unit to replace.
How is easy/difficult is this job? And any tips advice greatly appreciated
Cheers

Not too difficult. You have to take the window regulator out in its entirety to access the locking mechanism. Doesnt require many tools, just a bit of patience
Id suggest picking up a haynes manual if you havent got one already as itll help with the process
https://workshop-manuals.com/volkswagen ... d_install/ will be helpful too
