Had a guy from a garage pop round and put his snap on reader onto car. It pulled about 17 fault codes with 4 saying defective ECU so all these problems might be down to a dodge ECU

Anyone paid to have one repaired before ?

Cheers

You need a proper scan with VCDS and pop the results up on here. There aren’t ‘defective’ ECU codes

If in the end it does end up being a faulty engine ECU, there are places like BBA REMAN that, it is said, will repair your unit if it is possible and return it to you so that it can get refitted and all its original programming is still intact.

Unfortunately I don't have a full version for vcds I'm very cautious about throwing more money at the car as well :-(
