Leaking front washer feed pipe

Post by littlepolo »

The corrugated feedpipe has sprung a leak just where it passes from the scuttle to the bonnet edge. On the upside, the jet is pointing at the screen. I guess a plain plastic tube would kink at this point and something like the existing kinked pipe is needed. Is anything available to repair it or should I just get a replacement part?

I've never ever had to deal with any leaking from these pipes, so yes, I'd be concerned that using a bit of plane washer piping might end up with it bending/closing, also chopping up that ribbed piping so that proper ribbed sections are where they need to be and then splicing in a section of plane washer piping, might be more expensive and fragile than replacing that ribbed tubing.

You can get repair kits on eBay. Normally listed as Skoda but it’s the proper way to fix it
