New member saying hello

Post by Matt Brighton »

Hi

Just to say hello - my name is Matt and I live in Brighton.

I just bought a 1.2 polo 2003 last week and so far am very pleased with it.

Fixed a few niggles it came with such as no fag lighter/ rear window demist fuse, replaced a misty headlight unit - handbrake adjustment and just gave it a full service today - all fluids and filters -

it runs great and its hard to believe its only a 3 cyl 1.2 !! - Feels like a much bigger and powerful car then it ought to :D

My other VW is a 1982 VW Camper - a T25 Devon Conversion with a Subaru Impreza engine which I fitted myself last year.

Im into other classic cars and motorbikes and enjoy competing and participating in Classic car and motorcycle motorsport

I looking forward to enjoying my polo.... and getting to know (with members help) my way round the car and fixing any issues.

Thanks

Matt

Hello and welcome.

What is the odometer reading?

Remember to keep on top of oil changes using the correct grade/specification.

ps

Other jobs done in past few days

- new drivers side headlamp unit fitted (£40 off e bay with next day delivery) to match new one previously fitted (old one misty and beyond renovation)
- adjust handbrake
- replace rear wiper blade (£3.70p Euro C. P)
- HRW fixed
- Rear washer pipe reconnected
- Thorough clean inside and out - and power wash/degrease engine bay
- silver indicator bulbs to get rid of the fried egg look in lamps

Just the air con to fix -....... I suspect a faulty relay or low on refrigerant as fan isn't kicking in -

Best
