Keyless, Start/Stop button

Hi Everyone,

I drive a Polo 9n AWY and the ignition is worn out pretty bad. I tried to replace it at a dealer but the price they gave me was too much.

Instead, I looked around the internet and found that I could use a start/stop button to start my car with an rfid chip. This way I wouldn't have to worry about the key anymore. However the immobilizer is something that I can't find a solution for. Is there a way to bypass/disable it? Can I somehow hide the key barrel somewhere and leave the key in it? Would that work? Or do I need to turn the key to trigger the immobilizer?
