Mann FP 26 010 Cabin Filter (Frecious Plus)

Post by littlepolo »

Does anyone have experience using this Mann cabin filter in a 9N? It contains an extra layer to filter particulate matter. It's dimensions are 36x254x224, which is thicker than the regular cabin filter. I've switched between Mann (carbon activated), Bosch, and other brands before and most of them seem to need a bit of jigging to fit.

No, only used normal carbon one on wife's previous Polo 9N, but I have fitted one to her 2015 Polo 6C, the later cars don't get the plastic frame to fit round the filter before fitting it into the slot, so have you tried leaving the plastic frame off?

Not yet, but I think that is the way to proceed.

Have one fitted to mine, barely fits in the plastic frame but took it out of the frame and seems to work fine without it. The only thing is it will drop out when you remove the cover.
