Does anyone know what this light means?

I didn't get a manual with my polo so i am baffed. i was thinking it was for the breaks, but don't want vw to charge me to tell me.

Yep it is to warn you that your pads are on the way out, the pads have a plug in sensor.

Yep, that's what it meant on our LT35 vans at work anyway.
