Running in new rear Discs/Pads

Post by Mouse_GTI »

How long does it take? That's two weeks since my service and they are still the worst brakes I've used on any car I've ever driven

Supposedly it's a few hundred miles I think?

They should get better, my front ones were s**t at first, but they feel pretty good now.

I wouldn't expect to notice a massive difference from only the rears, based on the actual proportion of braking they do.

I've done the 280mm brake conversion about 300miles ago and I don't think there's much of an improvement

The brakes in my sisters Mk6 are amazing, and it only has 55BHP to stop!

I didn't put new pads on though. I kept my fast road pagid pads because they were half worn. Im using black diamond 12 grooved discs aswell

Sorry to hear that, I'm surprised, on the other hand I did go black diamond instead of OEM. I'm happy with my upgrade, I would say at least 30% improvement :)
