Do i need another service already?

i had an oil service on 02/11/06 because the car said now its just popped up Service insp, would this be right already? ive done 4k miles since the last service but i have hit the 71k mark now. Does this mean i need a full service this time?

I would say yes you need a full service.

don't rely on the display for when you need a service or oil service, rely on when your next service is due, by mileage or date.

Yeah it could just mean the garage didnt reset the service lights the last time it was serviced.

I dont know if this applys to polo's but some cars service alerts can work off the number of times the car is started. Mine came up with the warning after only about 3k since the last service.

Haynes manual says the oil should be changed every 5k anyhow to ensure efficency
