finally got round to fitting it yesterday. pretty easy to fit, though had to trim the silicon bend to get it to fit under the bonnet as the silicon bends are larger than the rubber bends they used to supply. Certainly feels a lot more responsive now and it now has a deep growl
Nice job. It does look good in silver. I received my last filter in the post yesterday Fitted it and works a treat.
im just glad I had some pipe lying about to channel the crankcase breather down the front away from the air vent for the interior - fumes are rather unpleasant
I'm curious as to where the cold air feed is on the 6n2, usually feeds are behind the front grille, its funny to see an airbox so far from the front of the engine bay.

BMC's dyno recorded just under a 6 brake increase with the BMC over the OEM filter but not sure whether they remaped it after.

I had the same thing I just stuck my engine cover back on
I got a bit of rubber pipe from a scrappy, and piped the crankcase breather all the way down to behind the front left foglight next to the fuel filter - solved all the problems heheh
In a non-gti/non16v engine, the throttle body is in the middle, which means there isnt enough space to point it left. Mine points towards the coolant tank i have that problem:P
